2010 mudgee show! Friday 5th and Saturday 6th march
Routines performing are:
- Nicola Flynn – Hush Hush
- Sophie McGeachie – Material Girl
- 13/Over Performance Jazz – Evacuate the dancefloor
- Allyssa Terrey – Mambo # 5
- Anyone 6/under – Walk the dinosaur
- Senior Jazz – Let me think about it
What to wear? Solists, own costumes! Senior Jazz – 2009’s gimme costumes, 13/over perf jazz – 2009 lady marmelade’s costume, walk the dinosaur we have some 1 shoulder dresses from last year! I will round them up! This routine has a sequence then is repeated throughout the entire song and is easily learnt in a few minutes! Those who wish to be apart of this need to be at the rehearsals!
Rehearsal dates and times!
Friday 26th February 4 - 5.30pm and Saturday 27th February 12-2pm.
All groups to have a high ponytail, solo’s own style if you aren’t in a group dance! Full stage makeup is to be worn, this accentuates your child’s features to make those watching from a distance easier to see the performers (and it just looks more professional).
What time do we dance at the show???
Friday 5th 5.15pm and Saturday 6th 11am.
Where do we dance?
Out the front of the grand stand! You will meet 15 mins prior to the performance times!
I have chosen these routine simply because they are finished or can be finished and polished in the next week of rehearsals and class times! All performers will receive free entry into the show and I will do my best to get atleast 1 parent a free entry pass also!
I realise this is short notice but the show committee hadn’t contacted me so I contacted them this week (wk 4) so I am doing my best to gather up borrowed costumes if you notice that we are using a costume from last year and you will not be needing it for the show it would be greatly appreciated if you could drop it into the studio ASAP! Thank you!

Welcome to Reps School of Dance 2010. I am looking forward to teaching all of my fabulous students again and of course getting to know all my new ones too!
Term 1 classes will consist of the regular classes, new Ballet Grades and Performance Classes. As in previous terms, the regular classes are focused on learning new routines, working on strength and flexibility, but most of all having FUN. Performance classes will be learning routines for the Mudgee Show, Gulgong Eisteddfod and any other performances during Term 1.
This year there is a 15 minute break around 6pm. This enables the office to be attended to take any payments and answer any questions you may have. To ensure the timetable runs to its schedule, please use this break time for any discussions, instead of in between classes as this is my time to prepare for the next class. If you simply want to pay fees and there is no one in the office, I will have a locked box on the desk with envelopes next to it. Please enclose your payment and I will provide a receipt available at the studio for collection next time you or your child visits.
Performance classes – These classes are designed to give your child the opportunity to perform at a high level for the local community. These classes provide your child with self confidence, a higher level of dance training, flexibility, technique and poise. Any one within the age groups are welcome to participate in these classes but you must do at least one regular class to participate. Those in Performance Jazz classes will also learn an entertainment dance; this is lots of fun and at no extra cost as it is included in the performance jazz classes. (Weeks 3-8 Term 1 will consist of weekend practices to finish routines so then we have the rest of Term 1 and some of Term 2 to polish them.)
Uniforms - Reps School of Dance expects all students to be in full uniform, we have the convenience of having Reps exclusive uniform provider, LGlamma and Dance on site. The owner of LGlamma and Dance, Lisa has very competitive prices and also offers lay-bys. Photos of uniforms are attached on a separate page. If you have an old uniform that is still in good condition, you are more than welcome to wear that but once you need to purchase any new items, we ask that you purchase these from Lisa at LGlamma and Dance, your attention to this is greatly appreciated.
Reps School of Dance will not accept bullying. If your child is being bullied, please ensure this is brought to my attention and appropriate action will be taken to ensure this behaviour does not continue. There is no need for nastiness as here at Reps, we are a team and we work together and encourage one another and reach our full potential.
I would also like to congratulate all those who performed in our 2009 production ‘A World of Fantasy’. It was a fantastic concert and its all thanks to my fabulous students and their hard work and dedication throughout the year.
If you have any questions involving Term 1 please contact me on 0439 474 463. All info is maintained on our website – www.repsschoolofdance.com.au
